Porridge for breakfast and Home cooked lunch
Had the Teochew porridge for our breakfast from a coffee shop nearby our place. It consists of 2 pieces of sambal sting ray, veggies, fried spicy cuttlefish and a piece of tofu. All this cost $13.
We had home cooked food for lunch. It was char siew, lots of veggies, rice and miso soup.
Only 2 good meals are enough for us.

Lunch = claypot rice and fish/cuttlefish porridge and dinner was....
The claypot rice and sliced fish/cuttlefish porridge from A-One were mouth-watering. Of course they are more expensive than the ones at the hawker center or coffee shops. For the 2 dishes we paid about $22. The ones from the hawker stalls would probably cost $8.
Dinner was Superman Nasi Lemak, Haagen-Dazs Ice Cream and Kopi
Superman Nasi Lemak stall is situated at Block 447A, Jalan Kayu (next to the Buddhist temple). It is a newcomer to the neighbourhood. The nasi lemak is delightful with a slightly strong coconut flavour. The ikan billis and the fried chicken wings are crispy and the sambal is tasty. The Superman set is $2.60 and comprises of rice, chicken wing, fried egg and fried peanuts. If you ask for extra toppings like ikan billis or vegetables etc you will have to pay an extra 80 cents for each item.
The Hagaan-Dazs Vanilla Caramel Almond ice-cream and a cup of strong kopi completes our simple and yet delicious dinner.

A brand new coffee shop at Sengkang
This is a new coffee shop which opened its doors to diners on 12/7/16. There are 5 to 7 food stalls selling drinks, economy rice, roasted meat and noddles, zhi char, satay and bbq chicken wings. There are 2 or 3 empty stalls left for rental. Besides the coffee shop, there is a Sheng Shiong supermart, a medical clinic and a dental clinic. At the moment vehicle parking is not free-of-charge on Sunday or public holidays. The place is at Fernvale's LRT Kupang station or block 473.
We had our porridge brunch at 473. It was our first time there. The porridge was served hot as well as the fish in spicy sauce. We ordered a plate of sambal long beans and a plate of fried tofu skin. All in all the food was quite good and relatively cheap ($8.50)

Breakfast and Dinner
Visited Chong Pang hawker center this morning for century egg and meat porridge. The hawkers served the porridge with a piece of yu-cha-kueh or you tiao (Chinese cruller). A bowl cost $2.80c and if you want an egg to go with it you would've to add another 50c. The porridge is appetising and is suitable as a breakfast meal.
The topmost picture is the Fried Thai Pork with sweet sauce. Second picture is the Papa Chicken. Then there is the Spinach Soup with century egg, anchovies, fried garlic etc...
The dinner for two is $32 which is rather reasonable. Food is mouthwatering and yummy.

The food is only average but quite pricey. The 2 dishes without drinks or peanuts cost $20 even after a 30% discount.
