Today's meals but not quite

In addition to the above meals, I had bar-chor-mee at JEM this morning plus a cup of kopi. I did not post any picture of my last few days meals because they were mostly junk food. I do not want to influence my readers into eating unhealthy stuff.

Lunch@ Hide Yamamoto, Marina Bay

This is a newly introduced Japanese lunch menu at Hide Yamamoto. It commences today and is available on weekends only.
The food is absolutely fantastic and the service excellent. The tempura and sushi are on the "eat all you can" basis. It's a bit on the expensive side but worth the money we spent ( $247 for 2 inclusive of gst and service charge).

Breakfast/lunch/ bubor cha cha/horfun

After eating our usual plateful of fruits,we also had some garlic bread for breakfast.
Lunch was chicken chop and rice at ToastBox. This meal was quite good. I like the chilli and the flavoured rice a lot.
In the afternoon we had our favourite bubor cha cha at AMK Blk 628.

Yishun 928 laksa

The daily queue for this laksa at Yishun Blk 928, Yishun Central is perpetually long. It is popular because it is cheap and tasty. This place has been selling laksa for umpteen years. I believe they, the laksa hawkers must be making about 30k nett profit a month. Today is my first visit after a few months.

SIA hiring cabin crew again in Singapore

There is going to be an interview for cabin crew by Singapore Airlines (SIA) on 3 September (Saturday) at the Pan Pacific Hotel, Singapore.
Almost every month of the year SIA is recruiting cabin crew either in Singapore or in foreign countries. The reasons for the frequent recruitment are :

  • Many crew do not stay long with the airlines especially the younger ones
  • SIA is putting in long haul non-stop flights from Singapore to the USA
  • SIA is also expanding fast in the Asia especially China
SIA currently has about 8,000 cabin crew. The attrition rate is around 1% per month which is about 80. The need to replace the crew who left is urgent or else SIA flights may leave Singapore with a shortage of crew.
By year 2018 or 2019, SIA is expected to have around 10,000 cabin crew.
