Jing Ma Che (HK) Roasted Meat & Porridge

Overjoyed to have found this stall at first but now it's a disappointment. We visited this stall 3 times after discovering it at the new venue. However, we noticed the food wasn't as delicious as it was years ago. The old chef is not there anymore, replaced by younger people and only 2 former staff remained with this stall. This morning porridge was a big let-down. The char-siew was dry and hard. I think it was the leftover from yesterday. The siew yok or roasted belly pork was salty. Don't think we will ever visit this stall again. Next time we will try eating at the other few stalls nearby. (cost of the food was $15)

Fasting is the way to go

You will be wondering why there are no pictures of food that I consumed in today's post. Well, actually I am fasting. I do this to give my digestive system a much needed rest.
I have not been eating since 25 hours ago. I drink only water. I intend to go to bed in the next few hours without food. My aim is to fast for about 39 to 40 hours. My last meal was 6pm on Saturday evening and I do not intend to eat until around 9am or 10 am tomorrow morning (Monday).

Curry for breakfast, lunch and dinner

We decided that we should eat at home since this is a weekend whereby all the eateries and shopping malls will be overcrowded. This curry chicken was cooked last night and is to be consumed today. Curry left overnight somehow taste better. I had it for breakfast with Thai rice and not exaggerating, it tasted better than most of the curries sold in expensive Indian restaurants.
I helped in the preparation and my wife did the cooking. She is a great cook I must say,better than me.
