Relocating cats and breakfast at OldTown White Coffee

Had a busy morning relocating cats to Japan. After that had breakfast at OldTown, a Malaysian food/drinks cafe. The kopi was nowhere near Toast Box's and the prawn mee and laksa was a big disappointment.
Price was also a killer ($17.40).

Pet import/export/relocation

This is my what I do in my retirement, relocating pets (dogs, cats, rabbits etc) from Overseas to Singapore and vice versa. Don't earn very much as it's very competitive but enough to help pay our household bills and daily expenses. Last job was on Friday where the black Labrador puppy was re-homed to her new owner in Singapore from New Zealand.

A job assignment yesterday

Relocated this beautiful Chiba Inu from Japan yesterday. Business is slow due to competition but it keeps me going and pays my bills. It's better than driving a cab or be a security guard or housing agent which retired cabin crew are good at.
I have friends and schoolmates who do not have to work after retirement. Most spend their time playing golf, cruising in luxury cruisers and globetrotting.
These are people with a lot of money in their bank accounts.
Just a few days ago, one of the richest man in Singapore died in his sleep. In fact, his family, according to Forbes is the second richest in Singapore with a fortune of  US$7.2 billions. He was only 62 years old.

Relocating this cat to Singapore

Was at the airport to collect this pet cat and clear her through CAPQ formalities. There is no need for this cat to be quarantined as she came from a country that does not have rabies and other animal diseases. Transported her to her new home at Farrer Road.

6 October 2015 Tuesday

Poor Chinese lady what's happened to her phone? Interesting video whatsapped to me this morning by a friend.

Had lunch with an ex-colleague

He left the company a few years before me and was glad to have met up with him for lunch. At one time when this guy was doing so well financially that many in cabin crew wanted to be his friends. He was probably the only cabin crew in the 1970s and 1980s to own an Alfa Spider and a Posche respectively.
One day, luck went against him and he lost a lot of money in his business ventures. He became broke and slowly all his so called friends in cabin crew deserted him.
To me he was a generous colleague. I have never had the chance to hitch a ride in his expensive cars like others did. We met a couple of times during our night stops and he did not hesitate to invite me out for meals. That was many years ago.
These days, I gladly return the kind favour. I will give him a treat whenever we meet. We have met many times in the last 1 year since his return from Malaysia.
