Breakfast and busking at AMK

This busker was serenading us with the good oldies songs while we were having our pork rib prawn noodles at block 453 Ang Mo Kio this morning. Must admit he was good at what he did. I dropped  a small donation into his donation box 3 times in a span of 30 minutes. I also observed within that 30 minutes we were there, at least 15 people put some money into his donation box.
With his permission I took the above video.
Enjoy! 👌👍😀🤑😎

Disappointing meals from Ang Mo Kio

Was at Blk 453 AMK Ave 5 hawker center and had the above fried Hokkien mee. It tasted different from the one we always eat whenever we were there. The cook is now a younger man and he is the son of the old cook (Mr Koh) whom we were told was too tired of frying the mee. No wonder, today's mee wasn't yummy. We will never again order the mee from this stall as long as the old man cook is not the one who fries the mee.

We tried the char kway teow next door. It was so so and was quite a disappointing evening for us. Won't recommend my readers to eat from these 2 stalls.

Bah chor mee & meat, char siew pows @ AMK

The bar chor mee tasted very good. I have never eaten there but had in the past tar-pow or take away. When we ate them at home the noodles were soft and dried but still tasted delicious. So today we decided to drive to Ang Mo Kio Ave 3 to try the noodles at the coffee shop. The taste was also as good as when we brought them home.
Next to the noodle stall was the home made pow stall. The smaller pows were char siew pows and bigger ones were meat pows. They were excellent and better than some sold in big tim sum restaurants.
FYI, the bar cho mee is $3 a bowl, the smaller char siew pows is 60 cts each and the meat pows is $1.30cts each.
