Extortionists beware
I am always afraid to declare that I make money whether through shares, casino etc because of obvious reason.
One guy who knew me tried to "extort" money from me. He said that I blog about myself making money. He asked for $150 but I refused and instead gave him $50 since he needed money for food. I know this chap will take the money and wager on 4D, hoping to strike big. But as we all know the chances of making oneself rich through lotteries are very slim.
The next time I am being extorted, I will make a police report. Yes this is a warning for would be extortioners.

Two meals at home on a Friday and Noble shares
Had my home made breakfast cos I am too lazy to go out. Besides, not many breakfast served around here are that good. I had enough of the breakfast at the nearby McDonald's, ToastBox and Ya Kun Kaya.
A cup of home brewed black Suzuki kopi will suffice.
Ate this home cooked spaghetti for lunch. Notice it has lots of mushrooms, bacon and green mussels. It's a high fibre food.
The mussels are good for the joints.
Looks like won't be having dinner after such a large meal.
With all the bad news about Noble (even got kicked out as a STI index stock), its share prices have bounced back from a low of 26 cents to 42 cents (today's closing). I've collected many at the average price of 35 cents and sold them off at 41 cents today. 6 cents profit may not seems a lot but when you have something like 300,000 shares they really meant a lot. It's a good day for me.

Chicken ramen@ Takeichi, Suntec City
Since we were at the Suntec City, we tried the ramen at Takeichi. It was authentic and yummy. They serve only chicken and does not contain lard or meat of other animals. The chicken soup stock was thick and tasty. They provide you a flask of clear soup to dilute the soup stock if you do not like it thick.
The top one was the spicy ramen while the bottom was the special ramen. The former was $17++ and latter $15++. Total for the 2 bowls was $40.

Theft at NEX Shopping Mall
I was about to enter NEX Mall when I spotted this sign board. It is disheartening to know that there are so many cases of theft even with the presence of cctv cameras all over the mall. The victim is this case is NTUC supermarket. 23 cases since Oct last year. What about those thieves that were not caught? Perhaps another 100 or so cases left uncaught.

Japanese buffet@ Kuishin Bo, Suntec City
My friend and I had the Japanese buffet lunch this afternoon. We had the 1 hour lunch buffet which is $24.90++ each. For a 3 1/2 hour buffet, it cost about $12 more. Even within that 1 hour we ate so much that we couldn't eat anymore. There're lots of varieties (more than 100) like udon, soba, oden, nikujaga,Angus beef salad, desserts etc etc. Worth every cent spent.

More profitable running a veterinary business
Our toy poodle passed away recently. Prior to her demise, we brought her to a vet twice and once on the day she died. The 3 visits cost us about $600. She was diagnosed with a blood disorder. The cremation (private) cost was about $600. Total bill was about $1,200.
I think if I've the money, I would want to run a pet veterinary business. I would make more money than say, owning a human health clinic. Besides, I won't be easily sued as a pet life aren't as important as a human life.
Below is the urn containing our pet's ashes.

Cooking chicken curry on a Sunday
- I used 1/2 pkt of Baba's curry powder (250gm) which is obtainable from the supermarkets.
- Chicken (1 kg) cut into parts and marinate for 5 mins with the curry powder and a bit of salt.
- Cut the potatoes into any size you like. Get tomatoes, ladies' fingers ready.
- Fry the the cut brinjals with some oil.
Methods of cooking:
- Pour some oil into the pan.
- Then add curry powder (125 gm) and fry till fragrant. Add a bit of water.
- Add the pieces of chicken. Fry for a few minutes.
- Add pieces of potatoes and stir for a while.
- Let the the curry boil for about 5 minutes.
- Pour some coconut milk into the boiling curry ( if you like your curry to be lemak, you may put more coconut milk). Preferably use fresh coconut milk if not buy the packet coconut milk from the supermarket. Stir the curry thoroughly and let it simmer (low heat) for another few minutes.
- Lastly, put the tomatoes, ladies' fingers and brinjals into the curry. Do not stir as it will crush the veggies. Cover the curry and let it simmer for 3 to 5 minutes before switching off the fire.
It's best to eat a few hours later as to let the curry gravy infuse into the chicken parts, potatoes and veggies.
Bon appetit

Korean buffet lunch and a movie
Had Korean BBQ buffet lunch at Daessiksin. The meal wasn't bad except that the varieties of food were limited. Price was an affordable $14.90++. Time for dinning was 1 hour 30 mins.
Will I go back again? The answer is no!
In the evening I watched Jack Neo's "Long Long Time Ago" movie. I can relate to many parts of the movie as I lived through that pre-independent era of the 1960s. The movie is entertaining and nostalgic. Below is the trailer.

Breakfast & Lunch@ NEX Mall
A breakfast of udon at Idaten and rib-eye steak lunch at Hot Tomato. The rib-eye is nothing compared to the one I ate at Buddy Hoagies. The price difference is about $4. At Buddy the water is free of charge and one may help himself to the cold or warm water. As for Hot Tomato, a glass of water cost 20 cents.
Udon is hopelessly hard. Would not recommend that you eat at Idaten, whether be it the fried crab meat or tempura as they were cold.

"From Vegas to Macau 111 "
I went to catch a movie this afternoon and it turned out to be the worst movie I've ever watched. It's titled "From Vegas to Macau", a star studded movie with Chow Yun-Fat, Andy Lau, Jacky Cheung etc.
