Another new Udon restaurant

We discovered another Udon restaurant a few kilometers away. In this restaurant, horse meat curry rice/udon is on its menu. Will give it a try on the next visit.
When we were there, we had the beef udon and the fried gobo (Burdock Root).
The beef udon tasted like the Singapore beef noodle. The beef is delicious and tender. The fried gobo is crispy and cheap (S$2).
They do take away service too. The bright-colored van is for delivery of the udon.

Udon oishii ne 👍

Have not eaten Udon for a while and so we visited an Udon restaurant yesterday. The Udon is thick, chewy and very tasty. They are relatively inexpensive at 700 Yen or S$ 9 a bowl.

Udon lunch and miserable spring weather

Visited a popular udon restaurant in Fukuoka for lunch. The udon as well as the oden were delightfully oishi. We went there at about 3pm so the place is quiet and void of people. After lunch, we had the above desserts at Mini Stop, a konbini....super delicious!

Today's weather is still cold and windy. It is supposed to be springtime and the weather should be warmer and better. It is also cloudy and the night temperature may go down to 13C (last night was cold and had to use the heater)

Had our udon dinner at Nex Mall. After dinner, we were tempted to try the above Japanese desserts but since we were so full, we gave the dessert a miss.

Breakfast & Lunch@ NEX Mall

A breakfast of udon at Idaten and rib-eye steak lunch at Hot Tomato. The rib-eye is nothing compared to the one I ate at Buddy Hoagies. The price difference is about $4. At Buddy the water is free of charge and one may help himself to the cold or warm water. As for Hot Tomato, a glass of water cost 20 cents.
Udon is hopelessly hard. Would not recommend that you eat at Idaten, whether be it the fried crab meat or tempura as they were cold.
