Today's harvest from the garden

The vegetables are ready for harvesting. It is early summer and the weather today is beautiful. It is partly cloudy which is cool and comfortable. It is about 9.30 am on a Sunday morning with a temperature and humidity of 26c and 80% respectively. Know what? My 2 immediate neighbors are feeling uncomfortable and warm, thus having their air-conditioning switched on. To us,Singapore at this time is really humid and hot but not here in Japan. I supposed the Japanese are more sensitive to the "humid and warm" weather.

Getting cooler in Fukuoka, flowers blooming

After all the floods, landslides and heatwave, Southern Japan is now experiencing a much cooler summer. Today's highest temperature is 30c . This is the type of summer I am looking forward to.

With some rainfall last few days, the flowers are blooming again. These flowers are not human cultivated, I think. They are growing along the roadside.

Singapore weather Vs Japan's summer

Today's weather in SG is quite nice and comfortable compared to Japan's. SG top temperature is 30c whereas Japan's is 34c. The UV is high in Japan but not in SG. The cooler weather in SG is perhaps due to the morning slight downpour.

Today`s weather in Southern Japan is glorious. It was 19C with the sun shinning throughout the whole afternoon and dipped to 14C in the evening.
We ate in with my in-laws doing the cooking. The beef steaks from the supermarket was tender and juicy. The sashimi was fresh and cost half the price in SG. The veggies were also fresh and green.
Overall, the cost of living here is low as compared to SG. The people are courteous and helpful except for those I have blogged earlier.
During the last few days, I have walked at an average distance of 3 km daily. I enjoy my morning coffee (100 Yen or S$1.25 a cup) at Mini-Stop or 7 Eleven convenient stores. I avoid Lawson as they do not provide seats and free wifi.
Life in Southern Japan is good. The standard of living is much higher and everywhere you go, the places are clean and green. Public toilets are kept in pristine condition.
According to the weather forecast, tomorrow is going to be a wet day with the average temperature hovering around 14C during the day.
Good night and God bless :)
