China women delayed public transport for .....

In Singapore, a woman from China recently held up a bus and insisted the driver made a U-turn because she had missed her stop.
In China, another woman (above video) held up a high speed train because her husband was late.😱

Bus rides may make you lose weight

If you are one of those who is too lazy to exercise to lose weight then merely taking bus rides of about 2 hours or more will make you burn a few hundred calories. The bus rides may not have to be expensive if you know how to plan your routes and time schedules. A 2 hour ride cost you under $2 for the adult fare and 88 cents for students and senior citizens.

Our favourite fried Hokkien Mee

Last weekend we travelled to Block 59, New Upper Changi Road to eat our favourite fried Hokkien Mee. Ah Lye the owner chef will open his stall and starting selling after 5 pm till late daily except on Monday.
This is the best Hokkien Mee and we are addicted to it since it was operating in Tampines years ago. The smallest serving (above) is $4 and largest is $8. Ah Lye's self-made ikan bilis sambal is nice and unique. The stock is made from prawn and pork bones. The name of the stall is Nam Hua Fried Prawn Noodle. Usually the Q is not very long.

CPF nomination and hawker center@ Tampines

A friend of mine went to the CPF Board recently and made a nomination. He told me he had to tick a box that said his beneficiary will received "cash" when he passes away otherwise his money will automatically transferred into his beneficiary Medisave account. This morning, I went to check with the CPF board, the officer told me that my nomination is under type C which means my beneficiary will received cash when I am gone. Therefore when one makes a nomination, it is by default that the beneficiary will received in cash and NOT into one's medisave account.

After visiting the CPF Board, I proceeded to the newly opened (opened 2 years ago but it is my first time there) hawker center nearby. There were many food stalls and all appeared clean and orderly. I ordered the above nasi lemak (S$2.80) which was yummy and cheap. I also ordered a cup of black coffee and had a wonderful time there. The morning was not wasted, thanks to my friend!

Super nice CNY lunch

CNY lunch at my relative's house. The kiam chye duck (topmost pic) is super good! She is a great cook and we get invited to taste her wonderful food during the Lunar New Year only.

Chinese New Year Eve reunion dinner

Eating Yu Sheng during Chinese New Year is a cultural activity for Chinese living in Singapore and Malaysia, but not so much in other Chinese-populated countries such as Hong Kong, where the practice is almost unheard of.
Yushengyee sang or yuu sahng or Prosperity Toss, also known as lo hei is a Cantonese-style raw fish salad. It usually consists of strips of raw fish (sometimes salmon), mixed with shredded vegetables and a variety of sauces and condiments, among other ingredients.
reunion dinner is held on New Year's Eve of the Chinese and Vietnamese New Years, during which family members get together to celebrate. It is often considered the most important get-together meal of the entire year.

Eng's Wanton Mee

This dry noodle was from Eng's Wanton Mee at AMK Hub. It is a newly opened stall. The original one is at Tanjong Katong Rd which is known as Eng's Noodle. The family splitted and one of the relatives decided to open as " Eng's Wanton Mee" opposite the original "Eng's Noodle" at Tanjong Katong. Then recently, Eng's Wanton Mee opened 3 more outlets at AMK Hub, Simei Point and Westlake. Frankly, the original Eng's Noodle at T. Katong is the best.

Bendemeer Food Center

The Indonesia Curry Rice is a must try. It is at #01-49 and opens from Monday to Friday from 10.30am till 3pm. I like the curry beef and fish assam. The sayur lemak (cabbage) is mouth watering too. Plus the rice it came to S$6 which is worth it.
The second picture is that of Laksa from Min Ji Laksa. It is situated at # 01-06 and operates from Wednesday to Monday from 7.30am till 3pm. I still prefer the one at Yishun 928 (near Yishun Interchange).
The last picture is that of prawn mee (dry) from Bendemeer Prawn Noddle. It is at # 01-42. It operates daily from from 7am till 1pm. Off-days are unpredictable.
There are many food stalls and coffee shops in the area which I've not explore.
The nears MRT Station is Boon Keng on the NEL.

Bottom picture is the Yishun 928 Laksa which I mentioned above.
