The sick and the ice cream lovers

While the medical team was upstairs in an apartment trying to revive a heart attack patient, below at the playground about 20 meters away, was a long queue of people waiting for their turn to get their ice creams from the seller.

Hello BT

I'm the same person whom shared with you the breaking news of the bomb threat on SQ plane and Silkair molester, hehe.

Just wondering if you could share whether you'll be accepting SIA's offer to sell your TigerAir shares? I just received the voluntary conditional general offer today. But I also read the news that SIA offer was not reasonable. So I'm confused to know what to do now.

Honestly, I've an account but don't really buy shares. I had only bought Tigerair because you wrote in your blog on it before. I didn't buy a lot (v little spare cash hehe) but I made a bit of money and definitely grateful to you :)))

"The Same Person" we are minority shareholders and it would not make any difference whether we accept the offer or not. I've not received the offer as yet. You see, SIA already own 55.8% of Tiger and it needs another 34.2% to accept its offer. Failing to secure 90% of Tiger will nullify the SIA's offer.
I hope the offer will not be successful and so SIA would better the initial offer to perhaps a few cents more eg. instead of 0.41 cents hope fully 0.45 cents or even better at 0.50 cents.
So there is no need to accept the offer. Let the Big Boys decide.

I think you'll receive your book soon... Will you be accepting the offer, BT? I'm new to this and concerned that I'll end up with an illiquid shares.

Honestly I thought the offer for option to subscribe for SIA shares was quite lousy.. $11.1043 per SIA share when it is like $10.28 (closing) today? :O

Thanks again BT. My sincere thoughts - you're v nice and helpful to your readers. :) I wouldn't have bought TigerAir shares if I didn't read your blog. Hehe.

"The Same Person" even if you do not accept the offer and if SIA has the 90% acceptance from other shareholders you will be forced to sell to SIA at 0.41 cents. However, if SIA does not obtain the 90% mark and even you have accepted the offer, it will be treated as null and void.
So it does not make any difference if you and I accept the offer or not.
Yes the option to buy SIA at $11.10 is rubbish because it is cheaper to buy from the open market at this point in time.
But if it makes you feel good to accept the offer then go ahead. I would not accept because I am hoping SIA could make a better offer.
