Japanese food at Bukit Timah Plaza

The Japanese eatery at Bukit Timah Plaza sells one of the freshest Japanese food in SG. The kaisendon is  as good as the ones in Japan. The oysters are also fresh and delicious. If you buy 3 oysters you will get 1 for free. Each oyster cost $4.90.

Tasty yummy bar chor mee

This bar chor mee is one of the best I've ever tasted. The chilli and a combination of other ingredients resulted in a well balanced and tasty sauce. The mee kia is the stereotyped sold in the supermarkets. Had the owner of the stall takes the trouble and effort to create his own noodles up to the standard of Eng's Noodles then I think this stall will have endless long queue of customers.
The stall is at a newly opened coffee shop at Block 455, Sengkang West Ave. It operates 24 hours a day.

Tim Sum at Old Kitchen

Had Tim Sum with 3 other friends at Hong Kong Old Kitchen Novena SQ2 on Sunday afternoon. The place was not very crowded. The food was delicious but a bit pricey. A small meat combo cost $32 and a small eggplant with minced meat is $16.80. This is our first time there but don't think we will revisit again.

Can't wait to devour our favorite hawker food

The very evening we were released from our 14 day SHN (quarantine), we proceeded to a shopping mall near our home and ate one of our favorite noodles, Pontian noodles. After noodles, we had Yakun Kaya toast, soft cooked eggs and kopi O which we missed a lot.
Frankly, the hawker foods are delicious and addictive. Japan has nice food too but somehow I missed our local dishes.

Released from quarantine (SHN)

We were released from SHN from 1 pm onwards after completing 14 days of isolation. Festive Hotel gave us 2 meals each before checkout ( breakfast & lunch). Definitely happy to be home once again.

Swab test

We did our swab test at the hotel lobby on Sunday and yesterday we were informed of the results which was "negative".
This morning, the immigration officers did a check to see whether we are in our hotel room. We had to repeat the last 4 digits of our i/c numbers and also show our i/c to them.
We should be checking out of the hotel by tomorrow afternoon. Finally, the 14 day quarantine will be over.

ICA checks and swab test

Yesterday, the immigration officers checked on us again to ensure we are confined to our hotel room. This morning, we went for our swab test at the hotel lobby to determine whether we will be Covid negative or positive. Results will be relayed to us via sms within the next few days. The test cost S$186 for each person and has to paid in advance online via a link which was sms to us a few days earlier.
