Last evening I was at little India doing some shopping. I went to one of the Indian food stalls at the junction of Jalan Besar and Rowell Road and had my roti prata and teh halia. Just opposite there was a long queue of people waiting outside a eatery or some sort. After my meal I went to investigate and found that the people in the queue was waiting for a tim sum restaurant to open. The name of the place is called Swee Choon.
I took at a look at its menu and found the prices of the food were not that cheap. The place was not as posh as Crystal Jade but the prices were about the same.
I checked the past reviews of those people who have eaten there and was
surprised to find that quite a number of them had negative things to say.
With that, I don't think I would patronise the place.

Total bill is still less than Crystal Jade or Imperial Treasure. The quality is ok but the ambient is nowhere close. It is good for nostalgia.

My boys like to try out busy place. There is another dim sum place in Geylang that is also popular with a lot of dishes not found in other dim sum stalls. You should try it too.
