Was with a friend at Toa Payoh Lorong 1 block 128. He recommended that we try the nasi padang by Che Rose which turned out to be good.
I didn't take any pictures of the food we ordered but a plate of beef rendang, squid or sotong, sambal goreng and ikan billis cost us $6 each.
Prices are reasonable but most important is the food tasted like home cooked.

Tried the Jing Ma Che Roast Duck and Char Siew today. It is quite good. I had not tried it when it was opposite the MRT, so do not know the difference. Good recommendation!
BL Jing Ma's standard have dropped a lot. The cook is a different man now. Most of the staff have gone except for 3 from HK. Nevertheless the food is still good compared to others.
