93 people were nabbed at NEX Shopping Mall from Jan to Nov 2014 for shop theft. This year from Jan to Oct 53 were arrested.
Inspite of the above the crime rate, Senior Assistant Commissioner of Police Tan Hung Hooi said: "Singapore remains a safe place to live and work in.
