Changed menu preference

After almost 10 days of eating from the international menu, I've decided to changed my choice to halal menu. Had to inform the hotel of the change 24 hours in advance.
Today's lunch is halal meal which is made up of yellow rice + raisins, vegetable spicy curry and chicken tikka. Dinner is fish curry with peas etc. Must confess that the halal meals are much more tastier than the international meals.

"Maserati" delivered sliced fruits and herbal jelly to the hotel for us. As we are in quarantine, we are not allowed to come into contact. The hotel staff was gracious to bring the goodies to us. Many thanks "Maserati" for your kind thoughts!

Evening view from Festive Hotel and meals

After 7 days of stay, the hotel staff delivered clean bedsheet and pillow cases to us. We had to change the sheets ourselves. Bath towels are changed every 3 days. They are left outside the room on a chair. There should be minimum interaction between staff and guests.
This morning around 11 am, 2 government officers (most likely from immigration) rang the door bell to verify our presence. They also asked for our identity cards for verification.

Authorities checking on us

Two days after we checked into the hotel for the 2 week quarantine or Stay Home Notice, an immigration officer came knocking at our door to check and verify that we were in our hotel room.
Today, after a 2 day interval, the hotel staff contacted us on behalf of the immigration authorities via WhatApps-video call to verify that we are still confined to our room.
If we or anyone of us were not contactable or had left the room, we would be hauled up and fined a couple of hundred dollars. The government is serious about containing the spread of Covid 19.

Day 3 SHN Birdwatching and meals

Formalities for entering Singapore from Japan for Singaporeans during the pandemic

I travelled and entered Singapore from Japan a few days ago. There wasn't much formalities I had to carry out except that I had to filled up the online SG Health Declaration form. From the Japan side, I did not have to do anything prior to departure.
On arrival at SG Changi Airport, the immigration officer checked my passport and did an iris and facial scan. I was also reminded of the do's and don'ts during my 2 weeks Stay-Home-Notice at a dedicated facility.
Next, I collected my luggage, cleared customs and was guided to a bus with half dozen other arrival passengers to our hotel.
All these whiles, we had to wear our face masks and refrain from talking or asking the bus driver which hotel we will be staying.
On arrival at our hotel where we will be spending our next 2 weeks in quarantine, we were greeted by the hotel staff and ushered to a small room next to the reception and briefed about our laundry, meals etc.
A few days before the end of the quarantined period, we would be told where to go for our swab test. We had to prepay the swab test of $186 per person online. We were told to book our taxis through the hotel and we have to bear the transportation cost. The hotel which we are staying for the next 2 weeks are paid for by the SG government.
Finally, after receiving the result of the swab tests and if "negative" we will check out of the hotel and go back to our home.
