Oden and Niku Jaga lunch

My wife cooked Oden and Nikujaga for our lunch. They are indeed tasty and we do not seem to get enough of Japanese food.

My parent-in-laws' neighbors gave them 3 baskets of persimmon fruits. Their neighbors had so much fruits on their tree that they started to distribute them to their friends and neighbors. The persimmon fruits are sweet and juicy, I was told. We should have been in Japan this autumn but due to work commitment were unable to be there.

Sunday meals

Had ba-chor-mee for brunch and home-cooked food for dinner (nikujaga, salad, fried sambal long beans, sambal goreng and white rice).

Our blessed Sunday lunch@ home and chu char dinner

We had our Sunday lunch at home. Rice from Japan, nikujaga, bitter gourd and potato salad. All dishes were prepared and cooked by my wife. Wish we could eat at home more often but sometimes due to our schedule it's not possible.

Chu char dinner

Dinner was at a coffee shop in the Sengkang area (P12 coffee shop). This was our first time there. We ordered the hot-plate tofu with seafood and minced meat, sweet sour sliced fish, sambal kangkong and a bowl of rice each. The food was above average. I like the sweet sour fish and the tofu. The kangkong was not spicy enough for me. The cost was $28.50. The place was 40% full at around 5pm.
Service was fast and we like it. We will frequent this place soon.

This was my dinner. Didn't eat lunch as I had the Toast Box  Mee Siam set for brunch. My dinner was quite nutritious. It was made up of (clockwise from top left) niku jaga, fried bitter gourd, miso soup, Japanese rice and fried sardines (fish).

Lunch@ Peperoni Pizzeria and dinner@ home

The restaurant we went to was at Thomson Road, about 100m from Thomson Plaza. The food was a little expensive and not that fantastic. The spaghetti was quite hard although there were quite sufficient shrimps. The pizza was too thin and one eating it won't feel satisfied.
The bill for these 2 items with ++ cost $49.

Home-cooked dinner

Dinner was ma po tofu, nikujaga, broccoli+ sweet peas, miso soup and rice.
