About 30 years ago, I ate the famous Kim's Hokkien Mee cooked by Kim himself. It was very good back then but now the dishes aren't cooked by him but by someone else. A plate of the mee and fried rice cost $8 each. There was no queue at all. The 2 dishes that we ordered aren't bad at all but they do not live up to the name of Kim's Hokkien Mee back in the 1980s.
